About Magic Volleyball Club

Mission Statement:  The Magic Volleyball Club exist to provide Central Texas Youth with the opportunity to compete at the highest level. We hope to provide players with the understanding of competitive volleyball, and the importance of fair play. Our program will stress the importance of discipline, self motivation, self-esteem, and excellence on and off the court. Magic Volleyball is dedicated to developing each player's technical skills, tactical skills, and leadership skills. We feel these skills are necessary for our players to grow athletically, academically, and personally.

How long does the season last?

The season will begin in November and last until April.
 

How many days a week will each team practice?

13s and 14s will practice twice per week for 1.5 hour sessions

15s, and 16s will practice twice per week. Each session will be 1.5-2 hour session. In addition there will be specific positional training offered.  Specific dates and times will be posted soon.
 

Where will practices be held?

We will be using Westview Middle school
 

How many tournaments will be played?

The 12s will participate in approximately 8 tournaments. If the team decides to participate in Lone Star it will be an additional $200 per player.

The 13s will participate in approximately 8 tournaments including Lone Star Classic

The 14s, 15s and16s will participate in approximately 9 tournaments including the Lonestar Classic.  
 

How far will they travel?

13s will participate in 8 tournaments. 7  tournaments are one day tournaments  primarily in the Austin and surrounding area including Hays, Dripping Springs, San Marcos, and Cedar Park. They will also participate in the Lone Star Classic which is a 3 day tournament in Dallas.  Travel and Hotel expenses are not included in the fees. 
 

 14s,15s, and 16s- will play 9 tournaments. 7 one day tournaments in the Austin, San Antonio, or Houston area. The LSC is a 3 day tournament in Dallas that we will participate in. 

 
 

What is the cost?

13s Team  $1475  8 Local Tournaments including Lonestar Classic

14s Team  $1825  9 Tournaments including  Lonestar Classic

15s Team  $1825 9 Tournaments including ATX, and Lonestar Classic

16s Team  $1825 9 Tournaments including ATX, and Lonestar Classic

 

What do the fees cover?

The cost included USVA registration, scorekeeping and referee clinics, tournament fees, training fees, facility rentals, administrative fees, equipment, and Uniforms. Fees do not cover travel expenses such as Van Rentals, Airfare, or Hotels.
 

Are fees refundable?

No. In the event that a player cannot complete the season due to injury, illness, disciplinary reasons, or their own will, the fees are nonrefundable and due immediately!!

 

Because the teams are budgeted for a certain number of players, if a player quits a team, they will remain responsible for the full season cost up until the balance is paid in full.  Players may not play for any other club or team until all financial requirements have been met with the previous club.  This is USAV policy and players are listed “not in good standing” with USAV until paid in full.  Magic Volleyball Club also maintains a contract that is legally binding between the club and the participants
